If you’re anything like us, then you like to bring the WHOLE family along on your adventures, and that includes the dogs! There are so many places in Washington that are dog friendly and have unique experiences for them. With plenty of dog parks, hiking, and even restaurants, we will help you find the best adventure for your pup!

Airfield Estate Winery- Prosser

Airfield Estate Winery offers a dog-friendly patio for those who enjoy relaxing and sipping on wine. Although it may not be the most stimulating environment for the more energetic pup, it would be suitable for relaxed, low-energy dogs that also enjoy relaxing with their owners. Conveniently located next to Wine Country RV Park, you are just a 10 minute walk away!

Kalaloch Beaches

Located in the Olympic National Park, many of the Kalaloch beaches are pet-friendly, including some of the hiking trails! The following areas are yours to choose from: Peabody Creek Trail, Rialto Beach parking lot to Ellen Creek, the beaches between the Hoh and Quinault Reservations, Madison Falls Trail, Spruce Railroad Trail, and July Creek Loop Trail. If your pup is very well behaved, they have a Bark Ranger program where you can learn the rules of the park and earn a badge and collar charm for your pup. And no worries about where to stay! There are plenty of local RV parks to choose from!

Norm’s Eatery / Olympic Sculpture Park

Who doesn’t love Seattle? Time to park the RV and head to the city! Seattle has miles and miles of walking and site-seeing to take Fido on. Make sure you come with hungry bellies because Norm’s Eatery is one of the only pet-friendly, indoor seating restaurants around! They even have a menu for the dogs to eat from too! Talk about a unique experience! And after you're finished eating, be sure to head over to Olympic Sculpture Park to take in amazing local sculptures, and don't miss the opportunity to take some fun pictures of the dog with them!

Dog Mountain

For those with high-energy dogs that are into extreme fitness, Dog Mountain could be the destination for you! This hike has plenty of switch-backs, a couple of false summits, and the most beautiful sites to behold. This is a 6.5 mile hike, which sounds doable, but is mostly steep uphill/downhill hiking. So pack a lunch for you and Fido and enjoy the day hiking this beautiful mountain! Afterward, head to Stevenson to grab a brew at some of the local dog-friendly breweries and unwind. There are plenty of RV parks to choose from and enjoy!

Overall, adventures with your dog may not seem the most relaxing, but from our experience, the more you do it, the easier it gets! Vacations are not vacations without your pup! So this summer, plan to bring them along and watch your dog experience eating in a restaurant or climbing a mountain with you for the first time! You will cherish these memories forever!
